About The Event
Our community’s vision statement states that:
‘In this broken world of disconnection, fear and social and environmental injustices, we can feel fearful, apathetic and powerless. We respond by building this community to show that another world is possible.’
Our tradition responds:
The broken world of disconnection fear and social and environmental injustice did not simply appear: it did not have to be this way! Humans acting together created the systems which have led to this. The Torah names this system ‘Pharoah’.
Pesach reminds us that there is an alternative! Are you ready to discover what it is...?
The theme for our community Pesach ‘Third Seder’ event will be ‘Naming Pharoah’ (Friday bank holiday afternoon of 7 April into Shabbat evening)
In preparation for Pesach, join us for this interactive learning session on 9th March where we will explore...
- The idea of the mythic 'Pharaoh' - the harmful systems that show up in all generations
- How our tradition teaches us to respond
- How we can shape our Seder experience (at home and in community)
... So that we can name Pharoah, and harness the Pesach story to create a more just, compassionate and loving world
